You’ve got questions… of course you do! There’s a lot to unpack! Here’s a few FAQs that we’ve curated to help you find your way!
How do I know where to start?
We know, we get it. There’s a lot of info to sort through and how do you know what’s best? We offer complimentary consults to help you discern. Ask yourself this, when you look in the mirror, what is it that seems to “bother” you most if anything. Pigment? Uneven skin tone? Texture? Fine lines and wrinkles? In most cases we can help improve your skin and the way you feel about it. If more intervention is needed, we can make recommendations there too. Remember we’re here to help in the most honest and manageable way possible. Think of us as a partner, we want the best for you and are here to help you get to your goals, whether we can assist or refer you to someone else who can.
If I’m interested in multiple treatments, which should I start with?
Again, the consult is invaluable. And if you are eager to get started, we can make a recommendation via phone or email as to where to start. It’s important to remember that in general your outcomes are going to be better when you’re starting with a better canvas. So, improving the integrity and overall health of your skin is a great place to start. Quality and consistent home care and medial grade facials are a great place to start your journey or maintain your skin health.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes, we sure do! We reward both the sender and the “sendee,” make sure your let us know how you heard about us when you’re here for your treatment. And PS, there is no limit the number of people you can send us, so refer away, and you’ll be reaping the rewards!
Do you have sales?
Yes, we do have sales from time to time. Make sure to follow us on FB and Insta, and share your email for updates and specials! Check out our Promotions page, and don’t forget we regularly offer series discounts; they don’t expire so no need to worry! Most treatments are eligible for 15% off (series of 3) or 20% off (series of 6) when you purchase in a series!
What facial is best?
This is a tough one…In fairness, they are all great, they all offer a medical exfoliation and treatment. Some are better suited for different concerns. When in doubt reach out via email or text, schedule a consult or try them all as your schedule and budget permit. Of course, there is some overlap in what you’ll experience, but what you love and respond best to is unique to you!
What’s the best bang for my buck?
Ah, the million dollar question. That really depends on your goals. We are not here to string you along and milk every ounce of disposable income from your hands. We want what you want- the best possible outcome! Talk to us about your concerns and we can make a recommendation as to how best to facilitate the outcome you’re looking to achieve.
Will my treatment hurt?
Well… it’s complicated. By in large, the answer is no. It shouldn’t. But remember pain is relative. And you know what they say, no pain, no gain. Rest assured we do our best to make sure you are as comfortable as possible during your visit and those treatments that are generally considered to cause more discomfort for people do have a topical numbing option. You’re in good and very capable hands. Trust the process.
Is there down time after my treatment?
It really depends on the treatment you have done. We will always make sure to manage the expectation before the day of your treatment so you know what to expect. In honestly, sometimes yes, there is down time. Recall, downtime is another subjective term. Do you mean I can’t leave my house because I look like I got mugged in an Alley, or do you mean down time, that my “healing phase will be not optimal in terms of aesthetic? Everyone is a little different too. Your response and your idea of down time may be different than someone else’s. We will always advise what the general expectation of any given treatment is.
I’m pregnant or nursing, can I still have a treatment?
Some treatments are not recommended to do while you are expecting or nursing. Others can be altered to accommodate. If you find yourself in this situation, please discuss with your provider. She will make recommendations for alternatives if appropriate or help get you rescheduled for another time.
This stuff seems expensive. What is the difference between medical grade and drugstore? Can’t I just get my tub of HA at Big Lots like I have for years?
You absolutely can, but then we would ask you to expect to anticipate Big Lot’s skincare outcomes. Just like you are what you eat, in many cases your skin reflects the quality of care you give it. (Note, there are those few people with great skin genes that can shop at Big Lot’s for their skin care and you’d never guess it).
How may treatments will I need before I don’t need anymore?
Well, that’s a little like asking how many showers do I need to take before I don’t need to shower anymore. It’s not realistic. In general, your treatments can and should be done in a bit more rigorous timeline/ interval to begin with. Depending on the treatment, 4-6 treatments at regular intervals( regular can vary based on the treatment; then maintenance treatments can be performed as needed. With respect to facials, consider the life cycle of a skin cell at 28-30 days. Each year past 30 age wise you are, add a day to the process. As we age, we need more assistance in stimulating cell turnover, enter the exfoliation process. All of our facials are designed to exfoliate, nourish and stimulate cell turnover to help make and keep your skin performing optimally.
